Golden Girl
Rachel Buehler, a Del Mar native and Torrey Pines grad, won a gold medal at the Beijing Olympics with the women’s soccer team. Despite losing their best scorer Abby Wambach weeks before the games started and dropping a game in the early rounds, the women rallied to get into the medal round and defeat Brazil in a 1-0 overtime win. Congratulations Rachel!
