Sobriety checkpoint set for this evening

Sobriety checkpoints will be held tonight in the North County and the East County, according to the Sheriff’s Department. In Encinitas, a checkpoint will be set up from 7:30 tonight to 1 a.m.

Saturday near the 500 block of Lomas Santa Fe Drive, Sgt. Randy Webb said.

According to Sgt. Peggy Frailey, a checkpoint will also be held in Lemon Grove from tonight through early Saturday morning but the exact time and location were not revealed.
