Torrey Pines grad in Taiwan

Brandon Young, a 2008 graduate from Torrey Pines High School with a 4.0 GPA, is currently teaching English and studying Chinese in Taiwan. Here, at left, he’s seen working with fifth graders but will soon be tutoring college students.

This summer Young was one of 13 students countywide to receive the Don Diego Fund scholarship from the San Diego County Fair/Del Mar Fairgrounds. Young plans to attend University of California at Berkeley in fall of 2009 and major in anthropology.
