Christmas tree recycling in Carmel Valley

It’s time to de-trim the tree.

The Carmel Valley Recreation Center is among 16 drop-off locations in San Diego’s Christmas tree recycling program. Residents can bring trees to the center’s lower parking lot during daylight hours through Jan. 23.

All trees must be cleared of tree stands, lights, ornaments and other decorations.

The recreation center is located at 3777 Townsgate Drive.
