Soccer star to coach Sharks

Shannon Mac Millan will coach the Del Mar/Carmel Valley Sharks, Lisa Houston, executive director of the Sharks, recently announced.

Mac Millan will become the director of coaching for competitive girls. She spent the last two years as assistant women’s soccer coach at UCLA, where she was instrumental in leading the team to the NCAA College Cup in 2007 and ’08.

Mac Millan is president and owner of Shannon Mac Soccer Camps and played on the U.S. National Team, the gold medalists in the 1996 Olympic games.
