DMUSD kindergarten registration March 11

All incoming kindergarteners for the 2009-2010 school year living within the boundaries of the Del Mar Union School District are encouraged to visit the district’s schools between March 2 and 6.

School visitations are provided for parents of incoming students to allow them time to ask questions and become familiar with school curriculum and procedures. School visitations are intended for parents only and will take place at all eight schools.

The visitation schedule is as follows:

Ashley Falls School, 13030 Ashley Falls Drive – Wednesday, March 4 and Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 8:30 a.m.

Carmel Del Mar School, 12345 Carmel Park Drive – Thursday, March 5 and Friday, March 6, 2009 at 8:30 a.m.

Del Mar Heights School, 13555 Boquita Drive – Tuesday, March 3 and Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Del Mar Hills School, 14085 Mango Drive – Tuesday, March 3 and Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Ocean Air School, 11444 Canter Heights Drive – Wednesday, March 4 and Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 8:30 a.m.

Sage Canyon School, 5290 Harvest Run Drive – Tuesday, March 3 at 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. only

Sycamore Ridge School, 5333 Old Carmel Valley Rd – Monday, March 2 at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 8:15 a.m.

Torrey Hills School, 10830 Calle Mar de Mariposa Drive – Monday, March 2 at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. only

Registration packets will be given to parents during the school visitations. The registration packets contain enrollment information to complete in order to register your child for kindergarten.

Registration for all incoming kindergarten students will be held at the eight school sites listed above on Wed., March 11, 2009 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m.

In order to be eligible for 2009-2010 kindergarten, a child must be five-years-old on or before December 2, 2009. Parents must show proof of birth to verify age. Acceptable verification documents include: birth certificate, passport and baptismal record. You need the child’s up-to-date immunization record, and two proofs of residency – current utility bills, property tax statement, lease.

Note: To register on March 11, you must be a current resident of the Del Mar School District.
If your residency is pending, you may register after you become a resident.
