SDJA welcomes new director of admissions
The San Diego Jewish Academy recently announced the appointment of a new director of admission, Renee Sherman, as part of the school’s administrative team, a news release from the academy stated.
Sherman has a degree in child development and is an active parent at SDJA. She previously served as SDJA’s parent-teacher organization president, as a member of the board of trustees and eventually president of the board.
Sherman assumed the director position in January and is also co-chairwoman of the Torah Dedication Program, which recently took on the creation of a new Legacy Sefer Torah.
All three of her children have attended SDJA, the oldest of which, Brandon, was recently accepted to Carnegie Mellon. Her son Kevin is now a senior, and her daughter Katie is a freshman.
“I hope to share my experience as a parent and volunteer with families who are looking for a warm and caring community, strong Jewish values and a top-notch education for their children,” Sherman said.
For information, visit www.sdja.com or contact Sherman at rsherman@sdja.com or 704-3716.
