Padres agree to terms with 29 players

The San Diego Padres announced Friday that they have agreed to terms with 29 players on contracts for the 2009 season. Executive Vice President/General Manager Kevin Towers made the announcement.

Agreeing to terms were right-handed pitchers Mike Adams, Cha Seung Baek, Cesar Carrillo, Mike Ekstrom, Ernesto Frieri, Josh Geer, Wilton Lopez, Cla Meredith, Ivan Nova, Scott Patterson, Jackson Quezada, Chad Reineke, Jae Kuk Ryu and Mark Worrell; left-handed pitchers Justin Hampson, Wade LeBlanc, Cesar Ramos and Joe Thatcher; catchers Nick Hundley and Jose Lobaton; infielders Matt Antonelli, Everth Cabrera, Travis Denker, Edgar Gonzalez and Kevin Kouzmanoff; and outfielders Luis Durango, Chase Headley, Drew Macias and Will Venable.

All players on the Padres 40-man roster are now under contract.
