Circus Vargas now at fairgrounds

Circus Vargas, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, is at the Del Mar Fairgrounds through March 9.

Led by Ringmaster Ted McRae, the circus acts include a cat and dog revue, clowns, acrobats, a “Quick Change” illusion routine, a fairy fantasy sequence, a horse and pony presentation, “Motorcycle Madness!” and the Willy Family’s “Sphere of Fear.”

The circus takes place at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. today; 1:30, 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. March 7 and 8; and 7 p.m. March 9.

Tickets are $15 to $40 per person. For more information, go to www.circusvargas.org.
