Camp Pendleton issues noise alert
It could be noisy in the vicinity of Camp Pendleton as Marines train with live artillery fire and high-explosive munitions, base officials said.
The exercises are scheduled to run 24 hours a day through Thursday at 4p.m.
The sound of the explosions could be amplified by atmospheric conditions and heard up to 50 miles away, according to Camp Pendleton public affairs representatives.
