Butterfly project memorializes victims
On March 19, San Diego Jewish Academy hosted 60 students from Encinitas’ St. John Catholic School to learn about the Holocaust and participate in the school butterfly project. The butterfly project, named Zikaron V’tikvah (Remembrance and Hope), aims to create 1.5 million clay butterflies to memorialize the 1.5 million children killed in the Holocaust.
Students of all faiths are invited to participate in the butterfly project.
