Local school celebrates Earth Day by example
The Torrey Hills School garden is in full bloom for spring and just in time for Earth Day.
The garden at the center of the campus is cared for by the students, encircled by a decorated picket fence. Inside the garden flowers bloom and there are dangling birdhouses, wind chimes and pine cone art as well as a small fountain and a bench for sitting.
A little painted sign reads “Be Good to the Garden”, a message to remember on Earth Day and year-round.
