NCHS and SPCA’s Paws to Celebrate gala is on May 9
The North County Humane Society and SPCA is inviting mothers and their families to spend a magical evening giving back to animals in need at the 3rd Annual Paws to Celebrate gala fundraiser on Saturday, May 9, at Paradise Gardens in Oceanside.
With the event being on Mother’s Day weekend, NCHS is featuring a special offer for attendees that bring their moms.
For anyone who adds their mom to the reservation, their tickets are upgraded to the exclusive VIP reception prior to the main event. Mothers of the two and four legged kind will enjoy a beautiful night dancing under the stars with live music from Sounds Perfect. Guests will love to dress up for this black-tie optional event that features a VIP reception, silent auction, and dinner.
The different tastes of moms can be fulfilled with a variety of live and silent auction items that will make a great gift for the next day’s celebration. For the fashion conscience, a pair of Michael Kors sunglasses; the sun lovers can enjoy a two night stay at the Sheraton Maui; the athletic will get in shape with yoga classes; and for the Mexican food lovers, meals from Rubios.
“When I shared with my mother that I was thinking of taking her to the event for Mother’s Day she was overjoyed,” said Julie Bank, Executive Director, NCHS. “What better way to celebrate the joys of motherhood, but to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals.”
The VIP reception will take place from 5 to 5:45 p.m., followed by a silent auction from 6 to 7:30 p.m., with dinner being served at 7:30 p.m. VIP tickets cost $175 and include a hosted reception with complimentary beer, wine, champagne and hors d’ oeuvres; plus a special preview of the silent auction items. Regular tickets cost $125.
