Local Mother’s Day dining options

Grill’s buffet features raffle
Pacific Coast Grill in Solana Beach will host a Mother’s Day brunch buffet on May 10. In addition to a brunch spread, PCG will be passing around a raffle basket for moms to draw from.

Every mom will win something.

The grand prize is a gift basket from Creative Nail Design featuring an array of professional spa and beauty products for home use, valued at $350. Also included are several gift certificates for Pacifikai Salon on Cedros.

A grab bag from Pacific Coast Grill will have gift certificates ranging from $10 to $150 in it.

The brunch buffet will feature an assortment of brunch favorites such as an omelet station, Eggs Benedict and traditional banana pancakes, plus specialties including Ahi, Short Rib & Certified Sterling Chuck Slider Bar, Spinach & Ham Flatbread Pizza and Pan Seared Sea Bass with tomato, basil, white wine sauce and garlic mashed potatoes.

Delicias plans brunch
Delicias in Rancho Santa Fe is hosting a champagne Mother’s Day brunch buffet on May 10.

The brunch will include prime rib, leg of lamb and an entire pig that has been de-boned and stuffed with pancetta and pork loin. Grilled king salmon with saffron mussels and free-range chicken with mushroom Madeira wild rice are accompanied by haricots verts, asparagus, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and roasted baby fingerling potatoes. Seafood options include chilled crab legs and shrimp plus a mini oyster bar with apple-lime mignonette, cocktail sauce and lemons. Breakfast options will include made-to-order omelets, brioche French toast and Eggs Benedict.

The cost for the buffet is $48 for adults and $19 for children 12 and younger. Price includes the buffet brunch and bottomless mimosas, champagne and juice.

Westgate to host tea

The Westgate Hotel is offering a mother-daughter tea from 2:30 to 5 p.m. May 8 and 9. Schramsberg Champagne Reception & Traditional Afternoon Tea is $39 for adults and $26 for children younger than 12.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mother’s Day, May 10, the Westgate will serve brunch for $59 for adults and $25 for children younger than 12.
