Neighborhood celebrates Cinco de Mayo with block party
Pacific Highlands Ranch’s Arabella neighborhood held a Cinco de Mayo block party on Saturday afternoon. Neighbors enjoyed a mariachi band, margaritas and a guacamole contest, won by mother-daughter team Monica and Sydney Sylvester. Children emptied a piñata, played in bounce houses and got their faces painted. A jalapeño-eating contest was also planned, but none of the neighbors went for it.
