‘Taste of North County’ set

HomeAid San Diego’s seventh annual “Taste of North County” will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 14 at Pardee Homes’ Bridle Ridge models, at 10525 Gaylemont Lane in San Diego. The event will bring together cuisine from area restaurants, vintages from local wine merchants and beers and ales from North County’s own Stone Brewing Co. as keyboardist Burt Brion plays smooth jazz.

Tickets are $50 per person, and proceeds will support HomeAid San Diego’s efforts to provide homes for temporarily homeless individuals and families in San Diego County by building and renovating multiunit housing where they will have an opportunity to live and rebuild their lives.

Restaurants slated to participate in the “Taste of North County” include Donovan’s Steak & Chop House, Elijah’s Restaurant & Catering, Yanni’s Bistro, Decanter Restaurant & Wine Lounge, Las Olas Mexican Restaurant, Brett’s BBQ, California Quivers, Villa Capri and San Pasqual Dragon Organic Farms.

Wine tasting will be provided compliments of The Barrel Room, Decanter Wine Lounge and Meritage Wine Market.

For the first time this year, “Taste of North County” will welcome Escondido-based Stone Brewing Co. as its exclusive brewery.
