Padres, Blood Bank team up

The San Diego Blood Bank and the San Diego Padres are celebrating the 13th anniversary of Padres-Themed Blood Drives from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 12 at the Hall of Champions, 2131 Pan American Plaza in Balboa Park.

All donors will take home a commemorative Padres 40th Anniversary jersey and a Padres beach towel. The first 150 donors will get tickets to a Padres game. Donovan’s Steak & Chop House will also serve food during the blood drive.

The Padres Blood Drive is sponsored by Cox Kids Foundation, Grossmont Healthcare District, Moneytree, San Diego National Bank, Union Bank of California and Wells Fargo.

Anyone at least 17 years old, in good health and weighing at least 110 pounds may be eligible to donate blood. For information or to make an appointment, call (800) 4MY-SDBB or log on to www.sandiegobloodbank.org.
