SD Sockers COO is an insurance man

A Columbus, Ohio, native, Carl Savoia moved to California in 1981 and grew up as a San Diego teenager, attending Patrick Henry High School. After high school, Savoia launched his career in the insurance industry. In 1994, he founded Target Insurance Services, a general liability insurance company for construction contractors that serves thousands of contractors a year in California. Twelve years later, Professional Employer Network Inc., an industry-leading human resources solutions firm, was created under Savoia’s direction.

Today, he remains focused on Target Insurance Services and the Professional Employer Network while also acting as a principal of Preferred Contractors Insurance Company Risk Retention and Pacific Re Inc., both based in Billings, Mont. While not working on insurance deals or the San Diego Sockers, Savoia can be found traveling the world.
