New VP for Cadence

Carmel Valley-based Cadence Pharmaceuticals Inc. recently announced that Scott Byrd has joined the company as senior vice president and chief commercial officer.

Byrd will report directly to Ted Schroeder, president and chief executive officer, and will oversee sales, marketing and supply operations.

Byrd comes from Eli Lilly and Co., where he worked for 17 years and most recently served as U.S. Brand Leader, Prasugrel.
