‘Sweet’ third in Gold Cup

Life Is Sweet, ridden by Garrett Gomez, is shown in the paddock before the $700,000 TVG/Betfair Hollywood Gold Cup on July 11 at Hollywood Park in Inglewood. Rail Trip won the race in a Cushion Track record time of 2:00.75. Life Is Sweet, owned by Marty and Pam Wygod of Rancho Santa Fe, was trying to become the first filly in 41 years to win the race; she finished third.
