Become a friend, fan or follower of the Times

As the newspaper industry navigates the changes and challenges that have surfaced with the proliferation of online media, we continue our efforts to provide local, accessible and useful information to you, our reader, in whatever way possible.

With that, you can now become a friend, fan or follower of the Del Mar Times through facebook or Twitter, making it easier to stay up-to-date and connected to your community.

Facebook.com users can sign up to get updates on Del Mar’s top stories. With this, you’ll also have a place to voice your opinions, leave a story tip or share some of your favorite Del Mar moments with us.

We are also here to tweet you with the latest news, if you’re of the twittering persuasion. Twitter allows users to “follow” one another. It’s a useful tool for us to keep you updated on breaking news items, give you regular updates on our coverage and to expand our ability to communicate with the community at-large.

Even still, not everyone is onboard the digital information proliferation wave that is busying so many digits these days. For the traditional reader who still enjoys the newsprint rubbing off on the fingers: Not to worry, we’re still here for you – in the mailbox or in the newsstand.

We’re looking at other ways we can use the Internet to improve our coverage of Del Mar, become more accessible to our readers and increase your ability to make your voice heard through your community news source.

Find us on Twitter at Twitter.com/delmartimes. You can also follow our B Section updates at Twitter.com/delmarlife for your local social, fashion, food and dining, and lifestyles needs. Search for Del Mar Times on facebook to find us there.

As always, you’ll find all of the same stories that we publish in print on our Web site as well. Just visit www.delmartimes.net for the latest.
