Holiday baseball camps set

Baseball players age 7-12 can improve their hitting, pitching and fielding by attending Holiday Camps from Dec. 21-23 and Dec. 28-30 at Frozen Ropes’ indoor facility at 10710 Thornmint Road, San Diego, in the Rancho Bernardo/4-S Ranch area.

Morning Skills Camp is 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.; afternoon Games Camp is noon to 3 p.m. Cost is $150 for three full days or $100 for three half days. Single-day enrollments are welcomed ($40 half day/$60 full day).

Instruction is by professional and college athletes led by Ron Witmeyer, former Oakland A’s player and hitting coach at Stanford University and UC Berkeley.

Utilizing state-of-the-art training equipment and techniques, via Frozen Ropes’ “Right View Pro Video Analysis” video cameras and software, each Skills Camp player will receive a custom DVD comparing their pitching and swings to noted professional players.

Randy Jones, Cy Young Award winner and San Diego Padres pitching legend, has joined Frozen Ropes’ team and is available for pitching lessons.
