Government offices to close, golf courses open, for Christmas

Courts and all San Diego city, county and state offices will be closed Friday in observance of Christmas.

Libraries, recreation centers and pools in San Diego will be closed. The Torrey Pines, Balboa Park and Mission Bay golf courses will be open until 3 p.m., but holiday rates will apply.

Balboa Park will be open, but all public buildings will be closed.

San Diego County branch libraries will be closed. County parks will be open, but recreation and teen centers will be closed.

There will be no mail delivery.

Garbage pickups scheduled for tomorrow in the city of San Diego will occur on Saturday. Garbage collection will return to the normal schedule on Monday.
