Gunmen rob UltraStar on Via de la Valle
Two gunmen robbed a movie theater in North City while its unsuspecting patrons watched a film, police said Monday.
The thieves entered the lobby of UltraStar Cinemas in the Flower Hill Promenade at 2630 Via De La Valle about 9:35 p.m. Sunday, pulled out handguns, jumped over a counter and demanded cash, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.
They ran away after receiving money, Delimitros said, adding that no one was hurt.
Patrons were inside the theater when the robbery occurred and were not aware of it, he said.
