Manchester team a cup finalist

The Carmel Valley Manchester soccer club boys under-10 team reached the finals but ultimately fell in the Legends Cup. The final game was played in heavy rain and both teams played great soccer in spite of the conditions.

“I am so proud of all the boys. They are coming together nicely as a team and played some magical soccer this weekend. It was great preparation for the upcoming State Cup as we played the best U10 teams that are out there and showed we can compete with the best of them,” coach Billy Garton said.

Manchester beat four teams and won 2-1 in the semifinals against Surf.
