Chef, artist create event

Chef Paul McCabe of L’Auberge Del Mar’s Kitchen 1540 and “The Painter of Chefs” Christopher M will present “The Art & Soul of Food,” an artistic epicurean event beginning with a 5:30 p.m. champagne reception on the L’Auberge sunset deck, Feb. 25.

What follows from 6 to 9 p.m. is a four-course dinner with wine pairing by Chef McCabe and an art show unveiling a series of paintings by Christopher M at the start of each course. Each work was inspired by the four emotions: Nostalgia, Blue, Amorous and Euphoria.

After the fourth course, guests may view a broader collection of new paintings in a gallery area with paintings available for purchase during the event. Tickets are $85 per person at (858) 793-6460. More details at www.laubergedelmar.com
