Earth Song to host governor candidates

Earth Song Books & Gifts in Del Mar will host 2010 candidates for governor Larry Naritelli and Richard Aguirre from 6 to 8 p.m. March 3 and 4, respectively.

Naritelli is a Carlsbad resident who joined the Tea Party movement in 2009 and says he supports a small government, low taxes and free market capitalism. He moved to the San Diego area in 1983. Naritelli worked in the manufacturing business as a cost accountant and eventually as a corporate controller and director of accounting for several companies.

Aguirre is a member of the Democratic Party and is a third generation San Diegan. He is an environmentalists and president of San Diego’s “Save Sunset Cliff.” He said he wants to see California’s energy infrastructure grow, wants to see more rapid transit built and supports building more water desalination plants. Aguirre is a retired businessman and real estate investor.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early. Earth Song is at 1440 Camino del Mar.
