Paws in the Park takes place Sunday

Things are going to get a little ruff at La Colonia Park on Sunday, as dogs and their owners will take part in the “Paws in the Park.”

The free event will offer the opportunity for people to exercise with their dogs, view training demonstrations, exotic animal shows, and engage in contests for, among other things, ugliest and cutest dog.

The commission puts on “Paws in the Park” in association with the Spay Neuter Action Program, otherwise known as SNAP. On-site will be SNAP’s “neuter scooter,” offering spay and neuter services to pets. Owners must make appointments beforehand to have their pet treated at that time.

The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., March 14 at La Colonia Park.

For more information contact Kirk Wenger at (858) 720-2453 or kwenger@cosb.org.
