Rascal wins annual Ugly Dog Contest at fairgrounds

With the face only the judges of the Ugliest Dog Contest could love, Rascal Andrew claimed the first-place prize at the Kiwanis-sponsored annual event on March 7 at the Del Mar fairgrounds.

Other competitions were held for Best St. Patty’s Day Costume, Cutest Dog, Dog Who Looks Most Like its Owner, Best Trick, Cutest Puppy and Most Unusual Markings. Contest proceeds will benefit the Rancho Coastal Humane Society, Safehouse Program, Helen Woodward Therapeutic Riding Program, and Friends of Del Mar Parks.
