Ticktocker Class of 2010 honored at gala

Nineteen seniors from several North County high schools were honored for their service in the National Charity League Inc. San Diego del Norte Chapter on April 10 at a dinner-dance held at the Four Seasons Resort Aviara in Carlsbad. The event was co-chaired by Carrie Butler and Vicki Minteer.

The mission of the league is to foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences. Over the last six years the girls, called Ticktockers, and their mothers, called Patronesses, worked side by side at these charities: American Cancer Society, Blind Community Center of San Diego, Casa de Amparo, Family Recovery Center, George C. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Centers, Helen Bernardy Center for Medically Fragile Children, Helen Woodward Animal Center, I Love A Clean San Diego, Meals on Wheels, Military Outreach Ministries Camp Pendleton, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, North Coast Repertory Theatre, Old Globe Theatre, Orchestra Nova, Rancho Santa Fe Seniors, Salvation Army, San Diego Blood Bank, San Diego Public Libraries, San Dieguito River Park, San Pasqual Academy, Scripps Health Foundation, Social Services League of La Jolla, Special Olympics of San Diego County, St. Vincent de Paul, UCSD Theatre & Dance and United Cerebral Palsy.

The girls in the class of 2010 include Karli Abshier, Sydney Gerbracht, Bridget Baker, Samantha Hardage, Emily Baratta, Grace Fenley, Alexandra Belli, Britney Massimino, Tasha Bock, Marie Nicol, Kathryn Dickson, Sarah Noble, Chloe Eli, Liza Raser, Kelsey Erdossy, Samantha Shafer, Samantha Fabiano and Carly Silverwood.
