Midway post office staying open late tonight for tax filing

With the tax-filing deadline looming, a handful of post offices in the area will be staying open late tonight to accommodate procrastinators.

Most post offices will adhere to normal business hours, and mail deposited in collection boxes and post office lobby drops will be picked up at their regular times.

The following post office locations will have extended hours:

- San Diego, 2535 Midway Drive; mail collection and retail service
until midnight;

- Chula Vista, 750 Third Ave.; mail collection until 6:30 p.m.; and

- El Cajon, 401 W. Lexington Ave.; mail collection until 6:30 p.m.
