Del Mar Little Leaguers pitch, hit and run

Del Mar Little League hosted the Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run competition on May 2 at Ocean Air Park.

It is the Official Youth Skills Competition of the MLB and allows players to showcase their pitching, hitting and running skills. Registered Del Mar Little League and Coast Junior players competed and the top performers will advance to four rounds of additional competition, including Team Championships at major league ballparks and the National Final at the 2010 MLB All-Star game.

The day also included the annual Del Mar Little League Home Run Derby and a managers’ softball game matching up majors division managers and coaches with AAA division managers and coaches.
