Southwest Airlines flights delayed due to weather
Severe weather in Northern California delayed nearly four dozen Southwest Airlines flights into and out of Lindbergh Field on Monday.
Most of the affected flights were running 15 minutes to an hour behind schedule at midday, while several were delayed by two hours or so, Southwest spokesman Brad Hawkins said.
The postponed arrivals and departures were likely to continue throughout the day, according to Hawkins.
Delta, American and Alaska airlines also had a total of six flights running late in the mid-morning.
On Sunday, bad weather in the Northeast caused several American, Delta, Continental and Jet Blue flights between San Diego and New York’s JFK International Airport to be canceled or delayed.
