Five suspected illegal immigrants arrested at Torrey Pines beach

Five people suspected of entering the country illegally by boat were arrested before dawn in Torrey Pines today, police said.

The suspected illegal immigrants were taken into custody in a parking lot at Torrey Pines State Beach about 4 a.m., according to the San Diego Police Department.

They were turned over to federal authorities.

No other details were available.
