Man robs Wells Fargo branch in Solana Beach Vons

A thief used a demand note to rob a North County supermarket banking center Monday afternoon.

The man handed the message to a teller at the Wells Fargo branch in a Vons store on Lomas Santa Fe Drive in Solana Beach shortly before 1:30 p.m., sheriff’s Lt. Harold Turner said.

A description of the bandit, who fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, was not immediately available.
