Firefighters knock down Carmel Valley house fire

It took firefighters about a half-hour to knock down a Carmel Valley house fire Thursday that caused about $13,000 damage, a fire dispatcher said.

The non-injury fire in the 10900 block of Cloverhurst Way was reported at 7:45 a.m., according to a San Diego fire-rescue dispatcher.

Damage was estimated at $10,000 to the structure and $3,000 to its contents, she said.

The cause was under investigation.
