The Mexican American Education Guidance Association (MAEGA) will hold its 40th anniversary dinner/fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. July 31 at the Encinitas Senior and Community Center.

The event will mark 40 years of awarding scholarships to graduates of the San Dieguito Union High School District and will honor out-going board members Dick Wheelock and Bill Arballo for their years of service to young people seeking a college education.

Tickets are $40 by sending a check to event chairwoman Caroline Matthews at 13810 Condesa Drive, Del Mar, CA 92014. Anyone who wishes to donate to the newly established scholarships honoring Wheelock and Arballo may include a check made out to MAEGA. For more information, contact Marie Grey at (858) 337-9825.
