Watch ‘World of Color’ on USS Midway Museum

A version of the recently opened Disney California Adventure show “World of Color” will be projected onto the USS Midway Museum at the Navy Pier Thursday though Sunday and shown online.

The World of Color Road Show consists of specially produced animation projected onto a familiar landmark, using a mixture of special effects, high- tech projections and a storytelling theme presented in “World of Color.”

The theme of the show projected onto the USS Midway Museum will be”Water,” illustrated by scenes from such Disney films as “The Little Mermaid” and “Finding Nemo.”

Online voting will be held each night of the tour for one for three colors representing each of the Three Good Fairies from “Sleeping Beauty,” Flora, Fauna and Merryweather. The color with the most votes will be featured in the show’s opening moment, complete with a trail of pixie dust.

The winning fairy will fly from computer screens to the museum and conjure its magical transformation using the chosen color — red, green or blue.

The live online presentation will be repeated continuously from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Thursday through Sunday in English at WorldofColorRoadShow.com
and in Spanish at coloresdisney.com.
