Carmel Valley Manchester Under-14 Academy Girls win 6th championship

Congratulations to Coach Felicia Kappes and the Carmel Valley Manchester Soccer Club Under-14 Academy Girls on their unprecedented 6th straight Presidio Soccer League League Championship! Coach Kappes and the GU-14 girls remain undefeated after 11 games and clinched the Premier League title with four games left to play in the regular season outscoring their opponents 29-6. Moreover, the Carmel Valley team accomplished this feat playing up an age bracket against Under-15 Premier teams.

The Manchester girls also remain undefeated in the elite Far West Regional League (FWRL) where the top teams from Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming compete. CV Man has advanced to the Final Four in the 2010 Fall FWRL and play their final FWRL league match on Sunday, Nov. 7 at Ocean Air park in Carmel Valley against the Eagles from Camarillo, Calif., at 4 p.m.

Seven of the Manchester girls have been selected for the prestigious Olympic Development Program (ODP). Two have been selected to the Regional ODP team, the highest level for this age group. CV Man is 15-0-2 over their last 17 matches outscoring their opponents 41-8.
