San Diego Derby Dolls wrap up season with toy drive

On Saturday, Nov. 6, the San Diego Derby Dolls will be wrapping up the 2010 season on the banked track in an intra-league bout, while wrapping up some gifts for children at Rady Children’s Hospital. This event will be held at O’Brien Pavilion at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Two teams were chosen from 60 + league members to form “SD Turquoise” vs. “SD Black.” Plus, this is SDDD’s 2nd Annual Toy Drive, hosted by the Juvenile Dollinquents. Fans are encouraged to bring an unwrapped new toy in exchange for a raffle ticket.

Donated toys will be delivered to individual children as holiday gifts, and placed in the hospital game room where they will be taken advantage of all year long. Please note, Rady Hospital cannot accept violent themed toys (ie. toy guns) and stuffed animals.

Tickets are available for purchase at sd.derbydolls.com. General admission/standing room tickets are $15; bleacher seating tickets are $20. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the game starts at 7 p.m. The Del Mar Fairgrounds is located at 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar, CA. This is an all ages event with a full bar for 21 and up with ID. Please note that cash is needed for vendors, concessions, and Del Mar parking fees.
