Young Del Mar golfer earns national honor
La Jolla Country Day golfer Anthony Paolucci was named the 2010 boys Rolex Junior Player of the Year this week. The award, which has been given out since 1978, goes to one boy and girl who each have the most outstanding year in junior golf.
For Paolucci, a Del Mar resident, he finished the season ranked No. 1 in the Polo Golf Rankings and won the Thunderbird Invitational, the Rolex Tournament of Champions, and placed second at the FootJoy Invitational last summer.
Kristen Park, of Buena Vista, was named the girls winner of the award.
