It’s tree time at Del Mar Highlands

Del Mar Highlands Town Center will kick off the holiday season with their fourth annual tree lighting ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 2, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

The Ocean Air Recreation Center will host a food and toy drive and pancake breakfast on Saturday. Dec. 4 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. The drive will support Toys for Tots and San Diego Food Bank.

Employee incentives up for discussion in Del Mar school district

The Del Mar Union School District board discussed the idea of employee incentives, as the district continues to look for ways to increase revenue. Trustee Doug Perkins brought up the issue as it was one of the proposals from the financial task force.

For the third year in a row, the village of Del Mar is offering free parking.

Downtown Del Mar celebrates the season with Annual Holiday Wonderland Event

Holiday festivities will be held throughout Del Mar on Dec. 5, including the Del Mar Plaza (above).

The community-run holiday celebration features horse and carriage rides, Santa, strolling carolers, a school run cake-walk, holiday craft activities, restaurant tastes, Kids Fun Zone, snow, a Holiday Gift Bazaar and much more!
