The Community Resource Center hosted its 28th annual Holiday Baskets Program at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The event is the largest comprehensive holiday distribution program of its kind in San Diego County, serving more than 5,500 people in need. Eligible North County families filled shopping carts or ‘baskets’ with donated food, blankets, outerwear, toys, bicycles, baby items and more. More than 200 groups and organizations and over 1,600 volunteers came together to brighten the holidays for more than 1,400 households in the program. (Photos/Jon Clark)
