Del Mar Kiwanis Club presents check to La Clase

Steve Gardella (in photo at right), coordinator for the Del Mar Kiwanis Day at the Races, presents a $1,200 check to Daisy Rodriguez (also in photo), project manager for La Clase Majica.  La Clase is a project manned by volunteers from UC San Diego that teaches computer skills to underprivileged children in the Solana Beach, Del Mar area.

The Del Mar Kiwanis Club generates funds each year to support this valuable cause.  The club’s December project is to provide gifts to servicemen at the Naval Hospital who will not be able to go home for the holidays.  For information regarding the Del Mar Kiwanis Club activities, contact Chuck Phillips at 858-354-6536.
