Solana Beach mayor delivers meals to seniors

Mayor Lesa Heebner delivers to Meals on Wheels client Margaret Canter.

Solana Beach Mayor Lesa Heebner was among the mayors from throughout San Diego County who delivered meals to homebound seniors on March 23 in an effort to bring awareness and recruit volunteers to deliver nutritious meals to seniors who live throughout the region.

Meals-on-Wheels contributes to the overall well-being of seniors by providing regular nutrition and daily contact with a caring volunteer. The month of March is annually celebrated as “March for Meals” by Meals-on-Wheels Greater San Diego. Visit www.meals-on-wheels.org
