Stories of women at First Thursday
Seema Sueko, the co-founder and executive artistic director of Mo’olelo Performing Arts Company, portrayed stories of women from Heather Raffo’s excerpt of “9 Parts of Desire” at this month’s First Thursday. She was accompanied by violinist Luay Yousif, a former member of the Iraqi Symphony Orchestra and the Iraqi Symphony. First Thursdays is a production of the Cultural Arts Committee of the Del Mar Foundation. For more information, log onto www.delmarfoundation.org

I enjoyed being in Del Mar, the Del Mar Power House has a beautiful location. And Seema Sueko's performance was super… I think she is a very talented and artistic story teller. I also enjoyed listening to the beautiful music by Luay Yousif, a very talented musician. he really portrayed Heather's story with passion, and his violin melodies helped me feel and live the different parts of the story.
