Well, maybe Bakersfield is a bit far, but they can certainly commute from El Cajon or even Clairemont or University City. I was being facetious, but you seem to have no sense of humor. Period. Stupid. If you want to donate your housing, go right ahead. The taxpayers of Solana Beach deserve a better return on their property.

Oh Bob, but aren't you brilliant! Will your children's pre-school teacher travel to Solana Beach from Bakersfield? Will the cashier at Von's? Will the owner of your gas station where you flll up your gas guzzler each morning?? Will your Starbucks barrista travel from Bakersfield to make your macchiatos? Will the fire fighter? The sheriff's deputy? The waitress at your over-priced bistro?? What about the dental assistant? The mechanic who fixes your overpriced gas guzzler?? People like you are idiots! Every place in America needs housing affordable at different income levels. Period. Stupid.

My idea of affordable housing is a bus ticket to Bakersfield. Why should living at the beach be affordable? It's called supply and demand; basic economics.
