Conditions would improve for every event. The Fair exacerbates an already intolerable traffic problem. An $80 million restoration of damage done in creating the fairgrounds is just reaching completion. The delicate ecosystem there is ripe to be spoiled by more fair goers than ever. Even worse than the Fair are the races that follow it. With post times focusing traffic, its congestion is even worse. Scheduling post time to coincide with Friday rush-hour traffic is nothing short of diabolical. How about requiring an Environmental Impact Assessment of the Fair itself?
