I totally agree, we do not need a UTC in our backyard. Just drive 15 minutes south to get to UTC. I have no idea how other developers in the area would let this pass because it seems like Kilroy is paying someone under the table to ask for these huge entitlements….

The Carmel Valley community is getting wealthier at a younger age. The county needs to capitalize on it. I'm upset that I missed this historic meeting. It is a brilliant plan and I welcome the idea of enriching the Carmel Valley community with tax dollars & fine dining opportunities. The traffic situation is the culprit of a village not acting as an environmentally-responsible community. Introduce regular public transportation in our area and you will find an improved traffic situaiton. The Rich will likely still be independant but, curb their excess by introducing a strict SDPD targeting the Del Martians, Rancho Fenians, & Village idiots for DUI violations and you will see improvement over time. You folks that are opposed need to move elsewhere…..let me suggest the inland empire.

I agree with Penny's last paragraph. We already have too much building and too much traffic. Every new house, apartment or condo has meant at least 2 more cars, Add to that traffic from future homes and people coming to this proposed deveopment from NSEand W to visit and to work every day.

I spent the whole morning at the meeting and I listened to everyone speak and almost everyone was against the project.There were about 5 people that were for the project.
Carmel Valley cannot take the density or the traffic that this project will bring. We do not need a UTC in the heart of Carmel Valley. There is not enough room to cram everything that they have proposed into such a small area.

I was present at the same meeting and stayed the whole time. To me it was quite clear, most visiting guest were against the high density and about 5 guest agreed to the high density. Maybe you didn't stay for whole meeting.
