Kids Korps kick off at Sage Canyon

More than 125 kids and moms showed up at the sixth annual Sage Canyon Kids Korps kickoff Sept. 23. Students decorated more than 90 pet bowls, filled them with food and toys, and wrapped them up. The gifts will go to the San Diego Humane Society and local animal shelters. The kids also decorated over 60 brown bags with healthy-eating sayings and phrases that will be sent to Feeding America so that they can be filled with healthy foods for low-income children throughout San Diego.
